Catena highlights biodiversity in Almedalen 2025
On 26 June 2025, Catena hosted a seminar in Almedalen to discuss how real estate companies can take greater responsibility for biodiversity in their portfolios.
Biodiversity is fundamental to human well-being and survival, providing vital ecosystem services and resources. One thing that property owners have in common is that we use space, which means that there is also great potential to use parts of it to favour biodiversity and biological diversity.
During Catena's seminar in Almedalen, an interesting, informative and inspiring discussion was held in which several perspectives were highlighted, not least the difficulties of visualising and measuring the value of initiatives.
The engaged panel with Elise Gross from Sweco, Maria Perzon from Castellum, Rikard Silverfur from Fastighetsägarna and Amanda Thynell from Catena were clear that the long-term value is crystal clear and that there will be more tools to use that more people need to discover. Many thanks to the panel and Agnes Sandström from EcoGain who moderated.
We at Catena are happy to share good examples on the theme of biodiversity - an important way to learn more and show that it is possible to make a difference.
