For a long time, the Jönköping region has held a strong position as an optimal logistics location with favourable conditions for next-day deliveries throughout the Nordic region. Here, Catena acquired the Stigamo 1:49 property in March 2023.
The new facility covers an area of approximately 33,000 sqm, part of which consists of high bay storage of 30 metres in height. Catena has signed a nine-year lease agreement with third-party logistics company Nowaste Logistics. In the facility, Nowaste Logistics handles flows of goods for two companies - Granngården (a leading retail company in gardening and agriculture in Sweden) and Mestergruppen (a leading builders' merchant group in Sweden, comprising the brands XL-BYGG, BOLIST, Happy Homes and Colorama).
The facility is to be certified according to BREEAM Outstanding and, therefore, has high sustainability standards. We've used a wooden frame to reduce the carbon footprint. We've also implemented smart solutions for energy consumption and rainwater collection systems, and we've ensured well-thought out green spaces to preserve and encourage biodiversity. We have also installed solar panels on the roof.
Join us for a tour of our newly completed property, Stigamo 1:49, in Jönköping! Catena’s project manager Pär Björling and construction engineer Martin Josefsson guide you through the 33,000 sqm state-of-the-art facility, which is now home to Nowaste Logistics and Mestergruppen.
We want to grow with our tenants, and being able to help Nowaste Logistics get established in a new geographical market is fully in line with that strategy.
