Catena’s new Chief Finacial Officer, Magnus Thagg, joins the company from a role as Vice President Group Tax & Treasury at Diaverum, a position he has held since 2019. He previously worked in Thule Group as a Group Treasury Director. Magnus will take up the position in August 2025.

Adam Ekdahl has been Business Development Manager at Catena since 2023. He joins the senior management team on 1 May 2025 as Head of Business and Projects. Prior to Catena, Adam worked in a similar role at project development company Bockasjö AB, which was acquired by Catena.

“Magnus Thagg and Adam Ekdahl will bring important qualities and experience to Catena’s senior management. They will be a great asset to the team and to the company’s ongoing development. I would also like to thank David Silvesjö, who has been with Catena since 2018 and made a valuable contribution to our growth journey. His expertise has enabled us to evolve our financial strategy and secure a well-balanced loan portfolio, as well as a strong balance sheet. I wish David the very best of success for the future,” says Jörgen Eriksson, CEO of Catena.

“Having spent several years at Catena, I am proud of what we have achieved and am happy to see that the company has found a solution for continued success. We have built a strong, resilient company with significant market trust. The timing is, however, right for me to take a new step, and I look forward to focusing on what drives me the most: identifying opportunities, turning ideas into realities and, ultimately, building businesses. This has led me to now pursue my desire to build something of my own. I would like to pass on my sincere gratitude to my excellent colleagues, and wish Catena the best of success going forward,” says David Silvesjö.

“Catena is a strong company with an exciting growth plan, engaged employees and a distinct focus on sustainability. I genuinely look forward to being a part of the company and helping to secure its continued development,” says incoming Chief Financial Officer Magnus Thagg.

“I am excited about my new role, and for the opportunity to support the company’s strategic development and ongoing growth in a broader Group-wide role,” says Adam Ekdahl, who is taking on a new role as part of Catena’s senior management team.

Once all the management changes are in place, Catena’s senior management team will comprise the following people and roles: CEO Jörgen Eriksson, Chief Financial Officer, Magnus Thagg, Head of Marketing and Communications Annie Nyblom, Head of Property Johan Franzén, Head of Business and Projects Adam Ekdahl, Head of HR Malin Nissen and Head of Sustainability Amanda Thynell.
